The Houston Racquet Club offers a wide variety of Aerobic and Group Exercise classes. Aerobics has come a long way and we offer many of the old-time favorites along with the latest trends and cutting edge options. From Tai Chi to Spinning, there are exercise programs and fitness workouts to suit everyone!

Ashtanga Yoga
Advanced core training movements. Strength concentration and balance.

Ball Pilates
Works the core in almost every exercise even those that target the extremities. Improve balance, posture, body awareness and coordination due to the dynamic nature of the resist-a-ball. Because of the resist-a-ball dynamic nature, you can progressively increase or decrease the intensity for each exercise by making slight adjustments in your body position. This is an affordable tool for all fitness levels.

Boot Camp
This challenges you to be your persona] best. Running/walking, lunges, push-ups, abs and a variety of cross training techniques to keep you motivated. H2O during the summer.

Cardio Sculpt
Complete overall body conditioning and cardiovascular training. Low impact, step, resistance bands, hand weights, stability balls and body weight are used for maximum results.

Cycle
Indoor cycling at its best! State of the art, stationary cycles, a motivating group environment, great music, experienced coaching by a qualified instructor. Simulate the outdoor of riding hills, rolling terrain, fast, flat roads, and more! Novice to avid cyclist, are all welcome.

Cycle and CoreIndoor cycling class consisting of 30 minutes on the bike, followed by muscle conditioning, core exercises and flexibility enhancement.

Fun Saturday
One hour of cardio, muscle conditioning, weights, steps, cycling, abdominal workout. Each Saturday you will experience a different instructor with different formats.

Hatha Yoga
Increase mind-body awareness, increase flexibility and muscle strength and endurance while you improve athletic ability and everyday activities.

Interval Training
Cardio training in the aerobic studio followed by 15 minutes of intense stretching and core exercises.

Mat Pilates
Floor mat method developed by Joseph Pilates, strengthening and toning using your own body's resistance. Movements gently stretch the muscles, pulling them into leaner and longer shapes, in Pilates every movement is a conscious act controlled by the power of the mind. Pilates develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong posture, restore physical vitality, invigorates the mind and elevates the spirit.

Piyo
Pilates and yoga combined, concentrating on flexibility on the spine, joints and ligaments, strengthening muscles, breathing and relaxation.




Muscle Work
Strength and endurance training. Choreographed weightlifting routine in a group setting. Perfect for beginners and advanced students. Concentration on technique and alignment.

Muscle Pump
Pumps those arms, lift those legs. This non aerobic workout is truly a workout. The focus is on toning aad straigthening your body. You will use, rubber tubing, dumbbells, bars and all kinds of toys to tone up.

Iyengar Yoga
Is a method developed and taught for over 60 years. Iyengar yoga builds strength, flexibility and balance. The Iyengar method is known for its use of props to teach the correct action in each pose.

Belly Dance
Belly dance focuses upon isolating different parts of the body, moving them independently in patterns, weaving together the entire feminine form. According to The American Council of Exercise, belly dancing has emerged as one of the new workout trends.

Latin DanceLearn different rhythm salsa, meringue, cha cha cha, cumbia, reggaeton, it's a great 60 min cardio work out.

Tai Chi I & II
Balance, mind-body awareness, flexibility training, coordination, strength and stress reduction are all achieved with this gentle workout using the flow of energy that is within us all. Tai Chi I is for beginners to teach the principles of Tai Chi and basic Tai Chi form. This class is a separate fee.

Water Aerobics
Enjoy the therapeutic qualities of this cardio/toning and flexibility enhancing workout in the water.
