From the inception of the Club, tennis has been the integral part of our history and tradition

Houston Racquet Club is the birthplace of the Women's Professional Tennis Tour and is part of a select group of prominent clubs that have played a significant role in tennis history that piloted the International Tennis Hall of Fame affiliate program. We have 34 courts (32 lighted) including 19 Har-Tru ™ clay and 15 hardcourts plus 6 Pickleball courts. Our premier exhibition court has hosted top tennis players from around the world. With over 19 Tennis Pros on staff, whether you play for leisure or competitively, HRC's tennis program is one of the most distinguished in Texas, regularly producing state and nationally ranked players. Members have the benefit of learning from our accomplished tennis instructors who bring a high level of passion, experience and energy to our programs.

HRC offers a wide variety of programs for adult players ranging in levels from beginners to professional touring players, including match play, clinics, camps, fun social events and national competition. Team play and interclub tournaments (USTA / HTA) are scheduled throughout the year. We offer game arrangements for members who need an opponent.
